Not at all. The Co-op is open to the public. Members get certain discounts on their purchases, especially if they put in a certain number of hours to work their, but anyone is welcome to shop there. As noted by Mr. Bulnes, even nonmembers who are 65 or over are eligible for an 8% discount on Wednesdays once they get their senior card. Seniors who are members of the Co- op also receive a 5 % senior discount on all other days of the week. But no membership is needed to shop there or to get the 8 % Wednesday discount for seniors.
