Sally,. I had two doberman pinchers that died of old age. My experience,. The dogs were perfect with me. The only issue was socialization with other dogs. Tufts, because it is a teaching facility, the dogs are taken from the exam room to a back area. My guess, there are multiple students and multiple dogs in the back area that will excite your dog. My advise, find a vet in a more subdued setting for an opinion, your dog should be on a lease at all times. No dog parks and make sure your yard is secure. If the dog becomes agressive with you, your family or people visiting the home you may need to take decisive action. I am not an expert. I ended up with dobermans and learned the things to do over time. They were amazingly loving dogs.

Probably not the best place to pose this question... I doubt Tufts monitors this site. Sorry.
