Tufts has been an unbelievable life saver for us! Despite COVID restrictions, every staff member we have met in person or over the phone had been nothing but kind, patient, and knowledgeable. They've helped us multiple times over the last year with our pup that (unfortunately) has been diagnosed with cancer. There is never a doubt I our mind of our pups wellbeing when we bring her to Tufts. Which is really important to animal owners! This is also a place that's willing to work with you if need be. We didn't have a lot of money to spare during an emergency and we got denied for credit but they managed to work with us to get our bill paid off in a way that didn't cripple us financially. Forever preaching about their work, professionalism, and kindness!

Not able to fit us in and said they had limited Oncology staff. Didn't seem to want me to keep appointment

After rushing my old man in for some emergency care, they were great. Even being short and busy, they took him in. Took good care of him and got him back to himself!

3rd time that they have helped to save our Siberian calico cat. Expensive but well worth it. 2 visits from cat attacks and this time for a pancreatic cyst draining along with loss of appetite. She is over 17 and still moving. Highly recommended and best animal hospital anywhere in central Massachusetts.

Sally,. I had two doberman pinchers that died of old age. My experience,. The dogs were perfect with me. The only issue was socialization with other dogs. Tufts, because it is a teaching facility, the dogs are taken from the exam room to a back area. My guess, there are multiple students and multiple dogs in the back area that will excite your dog. My advise, find a vet in a more subdued setting for an opinion, your dog should be on a lease at all times. No dog parks and make sure your yard is secure. If the dog becomes agressive with you, your family or people visiting the home you may need to take decisive action. I am not an expert. I ended up with dobermans and learned the things to do over time. They were amazingly loving dogs.

I have a rescue dog diagnosed by Dr. Dodman in 2013 as have severe separation anxiety because of her history. Would getting a younger, even smaller rescue dog help her anxiety when left alone?
