Hi We are booking a trip for 7 people (inc 2 children) swimming with West Indian manatees. What I would like to know is : Does everybody have to go into the water or will some members of the party be able just to watch. Many thanks Kath

My mom stayed on the boat with Capt. Ron while the rest of us got in the water. She really enjoyed herself as he found manatees and other wildlife near the boat for her to see; she said she didn't feel shortchanged in her experience. Only swimmers get to go into Crystal Springs though.

Yes, I believe you could stay with Captain Ron on the boat, but be aware that the boat does not enter the springs, which the swimmers in your group will go into. You still can see manatees though from where the boats sit.

Members of the party can stay on the boat and enjoy the view from above, but I neither the cost is the same. Check with the captain.
