It is still Florida, roaches are our state mascot, while mosquitos the state bird. I have had minimal roach issues... I call when I see them, and they spray and bait. Quite sure one of my building mates is a slob, because I had 0 roaches last year, just ants from the non-stop rain. The dog smell and zoo smell... yeah... they don't clean the carpets before you move in. Only thing I am annoyed about beyond parking being bad some nights. Other than that it's pretty safe and diverse community and the staff has been nice. This is also the first complex where my neighbors actually say "Hi." And kids playing freely with guardians near by. It is really a nice neighborhood over all, and if you have kids, then it's near schools making a parental life easier, as well as food and grocery stores 10 minutes in either direction.
