Terminal 1 does not connect to the other terminals , unfortunately . However , you can take a " AIRLINE A SHUTTLE " . You find it on the ground level under the BLUE SIGN . That particular shuttle transports you to every terminal at LAX, free of charge AND it runs quickly. Good luck:)

I THINK you have to leave Terminal 1 security unfortunately and then make your way to Terminal 6 via escalators, etc. Follow signs through the terminal. Try LAX official site or maybe https://onemileatatime.com/connect-terminals-lax/ Good luck!
