I have to support the small business as well. It is not their fault if you can't get there. Their obligation is to hold you a spot in their park. I too feel for you, but if I were in your place I would not feel that they owed me anything. Safe travels!

How can you hold them accountable for acts of God? There are multiple roads into Fort Bragg and they are clear in their cancelation policy up front. I feel for you but I also feel for the small business owner

It's called a reservation for a reason. They are holding that spot for you and are losing money each day you don't arrive. They could be renting it out to somebody else and paying their own bills. You put a deposit on such a place and you can't get there that's on you not them. It's a no refund deposit that's why it's a deposit and reservation. Like I said every day you don't show up they could have rented it out to somebody else and made money to feed their family.

Because it's good business practice.
