Does anyone own a Performax Circular Saw? If so do you recommend it or what would be a good circular saw?

Circular saw are typically you get what you pay for. If you don't need intricate cuts like for trim, and are doing more rough stuff, like 2x4s and such, it shouldn't matter. That's been my experience with cheap Vs Name Brand saws. If you do need intricate cuts for finish work then the tighter tolerances of a more expensive saw should work. For occasional use on rough stuff, it should be fine.
