my gun safe will not lock the pins open and closes but the safe will not lock the safe has a push button combo battery lock and i have replaced the batteries an d the handle closes the door but the door does not lock

My safe has a door open button, it will not let the pins close when the button is out . make sure the button isn't obstructed and close the door completely. Just my .02
