Definitely frustrating. It's happened to me recently with mirror adhesive. Wet tile saws are available - if in stock - over by the tile & flooring section. That's where I got mine from.
Because it's a conspiracy! 😂 I've had the same experience several times here.
I have no idea why they wouldn't keep products like that in stock sorry. Those are great questions to ask the manager at the store.
