When you pay the fare on one bus and have to transfer to another. You don't pay again . you just get on the other, but if you get off and have to do something and does not get back on it with in an hour or to the time when the ticket says on it then you have to pay again to the other bus that you are transferring to.
Transfers are free, just make sure you get one when you get off the first bus.
