Depends on the time/night and size of party. I've been fine skipping reservations for a 5pm dinner. On busier times, prom night for example, we usually book a week or two in advance.
For a party of six - or any size on a Friday or Saturday night - always best to call ahead. Middlebury is a great, small Vermont town - but it is a College town and many parents come up to visit with their college age children - depending on holidays, winter and spring breaks - its best to call head for a reservation
Totally call thats prime time
Yeah i would definitely call for a reservation. Food is well worth the trouble!
Thanks everyone appreciate the feedback
Without knowing what Saturday and the college activities schedule I would recommend making a reservation.
A lot depends on what's going on in town. It's a college town, and there's skiing in the winter, too. Reservations couldn't hurt.
We typically call the same day and are fine as we normally are going on a Saturday night. But as already stated, it does depend on the day.
I usually try to make mine a week ahead, especially for a weekend.
