When you have it set for regular home operation, the thermostat controls humidity by running the A/C in cooling a couple of degrees below the cooling setpoint, but no more than a couple of degrees. If it's cool and humid outside, you would need to lower the cooling setpoint to allow it to get cooler for dehumidification. It is just past a year since you purchased the thermostat, Munn's would be happy to send a tech to explain in person and help optimize advanced settings for your needs for no charge. Good answer, the HVAC is a residential system. To really get control of the humidity, you would need to have some reheat, after you have run the refrigeration compressor to meet the humidity setpoint.
