Did you know: “Each year, long-duration idling of truck and locomotive engines consumes over 1 billion US gallons of diesel fuel and emits 11 million tons of carbon dioxide, 200,000 tons of oxides of nitrogen, and 5,000 tons of particulate matter"?

Radu, im not sure of all the stats that you have presented but i suggest unless you are willing to learn how to make your own clothes, grow your own food, build your own electronic devices, etc.....thank a trucker because everything in your home and day to day life is brought to you courteous of a trucker...and as far as idling a truck is concerned, that same trucker wants to stay warm just as you do in winter time especially in Minnesota when he or she has to stop driving because of regulations. So think about this before trying to school people about carbon emissions while posting online with a computer or smart phone that was brought to you by the trucker you chastise. Thank you

Crazy. I'm glad I'm not a trucker. Because they have to take so much criticism.

Did you know. They purchased the fuel, and they can do whatever they want with it.

Dennis I am an owner operator who has a comfortpro APU. a small engine that does the same comfort with much less waste and footprint on the planet which i will soon pass over to my kids... i dont know how it makes sense to keep a 500hp 15 liter engine on to maintain 75F in a small cabin when a much smaller engine maintains -20F in a 53ft reefer trailer.... ask your congress representatives to make truck idling federally illegal with harsh penalties: prison, termination of CDL so that even retarded truckers&companies will be forced to install alternatives (THERE ARE ALTERNATIVES). “With less than 5 percent of world population, the U.S. uses one-third of the world’s paper, a quarter of the world’s oil, 23 percent of the coal, 27 percent of the aluminum, and 19 percent of the copper, creating half the solid waste on earth"
