Hi Wesley, Glad you had a chance to visit, we are spending a lot of time trying to keep it a great place for the birds, wildlife and visitors. It's a completely volunteer situation, no one gets paid. The Buntings have arrived and they love the millet. We try to keep the feeders full and in good shape, maybe you were visiting on a day when we were working on the feeder you mentioned. The amount of seed the birds eat is pretty amazing and good quality seed is not inexpensive. We are very happy ( and the birds are too) when visitors and members make donations to help feed the population. There is a donation box at the bird blind and near the picture board when you first enter the property. We don't get a lot of money but the birds appreciate every bit of it. Want more info? Try manateeaudubon.org and you are also very welcome to come to a monthly meeting, third Thursday, October through April. Thanks for your interest and visits, it's a great place isn't it? Deb Yodock
Hmm, perhaps, each time I've been to Felts there was plenty of seed and birds, maybe check before you go since they were doing some updates
