It's not a hike. It's about a 200ft walk to the viewing area. Then for a closer look, about 30 steps down to the base of the falls.
They can be seen from the road. There is a long sidewalk next to the road and a good, paved viewing area at the top, next to the road. Great photo op. And there are concrete steps, with a handrail and rest points, to the bottom where you can wade in waist-deep water. Most-accessible water fall in North Carolina.
It depends on how many people are up there you parked on the side of the road but it could be a quarter of a mile to a mile walk up the sidewalk. Then if you want to go to the bottom of the falls is 15 to 20 steps but well worth it
No hike you can view from the road.
Just approx 30 steps plus a short walkway to the base. It can be seen from the road, but parking is an issue on busy days. There can be a bit of a hike if you have to park far away.
Probably the most convenient waterfall in the area. Right off the road.
The falls are on the side of the road. You can walk a few feet or walk down 50 stairs if you want.
They're roadside
.6 miles
A quick 50 steps...
