I have went with young kids and it was fine. I will say if you have a big enough group you can ask for the chef's table in the back. It is secluded and good for kids who can't sit the whole time. They have a good kid's menu. I do prefer it for date night though.

Personally, It's more a place I'd go as a date night.
Great! There's an amazing kids menu and the servers are amazing. It is a fine dining experience though, not all kids can sit through an hour or an hour and a half meal.
More for adults. But, I have noticed many groups there with children of all ages.
