See othet comment; also there are white wire racks in the store, where they will put sone 2 for $0.99 items and put a round purple stcker on them. Some stores do also mark the vegetables to 1/2 price before they expire.
Depends on what items you're referring to, but they do have a handful of random little deals throughout the store...
