Saturday mornings is when there are adoption fairs for dogs, cats, and sometimes bunnies. Pets that Pet Club sells includes fish, mice, birds, etc. Good luck!
Also rabbit adoption fairs. They have rats, mice, birds, snakes, and fish.

I've seen them hold adoption days where an organization comes in with pets up for adoption
There have adoption events for cats I am not sure about dogs though.
