Its okay to see bright stars but if you want to see the Neowise comet or something, heritage lake or shawnee lake are better. For deep sky objects and milkyway, might need to go outside the city

You can certainly have unobstructed views of the night sky but you might find fewer City lights at Shawnee mission park for better star gazing.
