There's an event on May, can I buy the tickets there at the forum or has to be Ticketmaster? I am trying yo avoid the ridiculous service and convenience fee of $20 extra dll per tik!

In most cases you can buy the tickets at the box office. I go to the Forums' box office to avoid the stupid Ticketmaster fees as well. Hopefully your event is big enough where you can avoid Ticketmaster
