A kind-hearted rescue dog would be best! ☺ Seriously though, we have rescued a number of dogs and the most well-mannered dogs have always been mixed breeds. YAPS is a great place to adopt a new family member!
Shi tzu. They are gentle, loving, small and they don't shed.
Educated guess would be a small to medium size dog that's not too active. Maybe a golden retriever or smaller dog
