Depends on the situation. The temporary permits are only in case that for some reason the dmv can not give you a regular peemiso. First of all you must be a member of AAA to access the services and bring title, bill, car insurance, proof of address and official identification.
I got a temporary vehicle permit for my car plates. It was good for a month.
Contact AAA they can tell you.
I do not know but it's worth going in and checking AAA office. Just do it.
