I rec'd my regstration renewal for a classic car that is being auctioned at the start of January. The due date on the registration is Jan 24th. Do I just ignore it and let the new owner register the car? Is there something I send the DMV?

Do not renew your registration, on the back of your pink slip there is a release of liability area, fill that out & the responsibility of registration falls on the new owner
