Honestly probably not. There is a good chance they won't be able to solve most of the puzzles.
The room I went in is pretty intricate and would also probably be scary for a 5 - 9 year old
I mean if you enjoy frustrating your kids and seeing them fail, yes. 10/10 Will prepare them for real life.
Hi Deborah - thanks for your question. We design our rooms to challenge 4 to 8 adults and kids under 10 may find the room too challenging to participate in a meaningful and fun way. Anyone under 18 requires a parent or guardian to attend Mass Escape and there are some mild adult themes to the room. That being said we have had the occasional child accompany a group of adults and it has gone well. We don't like to discourage kids from participating in the rooms, but we also want to be sure that everyone has a good time. Hope that answers your question.
