Yes you can fish their. The piers have areas close by to drop your dead line, hooks etc so it's not left on the ground or blown it the water.

Yes, there's fishing peirs throughout and i see people fishing on the boat dock as well. If you have access to a boat/kayak/canoe I'm sure you can access some even more fishy spots. But on this particular day (5/27/18) no, there's a tropical arm coming through and it's windy and rainy so don't waste your time unless you're a masochist. It's true that some of the best fishing will be had in the worst weather you can endure.
