Yes. For a full hike, they get tired. It is like unnecessary punishment for dogs.
And please make sure you bring water for you and your furry friend, there is none available after you leave the trailhead. Despite many signs people still bring dogs without enough water and sadly every year since will die, what a sad, terrible and unnecessary thing. I hike with 3 liters and several times have had to donate some to dogs in dire need of water (and humans too). I feel sad to send them home with such irresponsible owners.

Yes Dogs are allowed. But I would never bring my dog are my baby up the hills . I think it to much work for the dogs and plus there is not enough water spots for them.
