This used to be a toll booth lot. Free parking is available by the hotel but that's a good walk to the Aquarium.The parking lot was replaced by City of LA a year ago with weighted slots and you have to pre pay at a parking lot automatic teller machine where you plug in your code for the parking spot and add your hours. I'm not sure how much that is because I'm a CMA member and I just go into the gift shop and ask the volunteer working there for a "membership parking code?" They'll give me a slip with a code that changes every month. CMA is largely run on donations and memberships, you don't need one to visit the aquarium it's Free to enter, but I urge you to check out Groupon for a discounted membership, if only for the Sea Scare event, all members get in an hour early!
