My wife and I enjoyed the classes
Minors under 17 can take our public classes with permission of the instructor, and can join as monthly members too! However, depending upon what tools they are signed off on, they usually require the presence of a parent or guardian while in the shop. So, if they come in and learn how to use the 3D printer in a class, for example, they can come back as a member and use it for their own projects. However, a parent or guardian must be in the shop while they are there. Hope this helps! We take the safety of our members and especially our minor members very seriously and require supervision since there are many tools that can cause injury if not used correctly.
My 8 year old loves his teachers, mentors, community and projects at Chimera. It's a workshop come true for my little maker!
