What Jake said. We rented a convertible got to choose from a Mustang, Camaro, Volkswagen bug, mini Cooper, and a Buick.
"Or similar" it's probably just something they say to cover them in the event that they don't have a Mustang on that exact day. If they have what you want, they will accommodate it, but they have plenty of other really sexy options. When I was there last week, I saw Chargers and Camaros and lots of cars that would be super fun to drive up and down the coast. Don't worry, you're going to look really cool driving off the lot if anyone can at all help it. Have fun on your trip!
