I would definitely recommend doing so. Last weekend we waited an hour just for two people.
It depends on when you plan to go, but generally - yes- make a reservation online. I've found if you go a bit later like noon you don't tend to need a reservation
Just join the wait-list via yelp. It'll tell you how long the wait is and what time to actually get to the restaurant
You can, and that will help with the wait, but it's not necessary
