It is expensive but I am not sure how to quantify "too expensive." The food is delicious and beautifully presented. It is well worth going for drinks and appetizers to determine if you are willing to spend on a great dinner. If you need to budget, save up for a special occasion. Worth it.
I agree with Lorraine. Expensive is relative. My general response to inquiries about the prices at an establishment is: if you feel the need to ask then it's probably too expensive for your liking. Places like these aren't about the price of the food. You're paying for the experience. The service, the ambiance, the crowd and the food is the experience. It's hard to put a price on experience when everyone has their own expectations. I enjoyed my time there but I would suggest it as a special occasion affair like Lorraine said.
For sushi it is, but it is in Beverly Hills or Malibu. I spent about 3 bills for two people. Be ready to spend a good length penny.
