The map on their website says they will check for butterflies on you and your personal belongings when exiting the rainforest section. Is this a surface check or do they full out search through all your stuff?

Surface check, not to worry.

Just a surface check to make sure you're not carrying any of the butterflies oit of their area.

It's basically a surface check. I was carrying a backpack and they didn't search through that (and would have been a pain). Some of the Butterflies are illegal to let loose so the checks are to ensure you don't have any stowaways on your person.

They did a cursory glance of my diaper bag but mostly just a body check
