Yes I remember the zoo in the 50s, I'm 80. Also remember a full size wells Fargo stage coach, with a wire fence enclosed, it was a thing of original beauty, but no one seems to know what happened to this..
The little zoo closed about 1983 and by '86 the upper paved loop road closed to vehicles and became a walk.

Yes, many of the elderly remember the animals. The zoo was not very good for them. They sent them to a better place. The zoo has been gone for many years.

There was a zoo here yes when i was a child. Up until the early 80's. Someone kept killing the animals so they closed it down. As far as i know they never found the murdering thugs. Unfortunately.
