I am buying a house in Pelham, how soon can I transfer my license and registration on my vehicle, and what do I need to bring with me?

You can transfer both registration and License the same day of closing. First, transfer your vehicle’s registration, and be sure to explain you just purchased a house. Show your license and another ID (passport, birth certificate, social security card, etc). You’ll also need to bring some documents from closing, such as deed or mortgage agreement showing the property address to prove your new residency. Once once your have a new registration, you can get the new license with just your old license, and the new registration you just created. You must change your licenses within 60 days.
