There are many rescue groups that will absolutely accommodate you. Here's a couple, Pet Rescue & Reunifacation and Fieldhaven. I hope it works out.

Hello, we only take owner-surrendered cats by appointment, we cannot accommodate walk-ins. If you need to surrender your cat, please call our Cat Adoption Center at 530-343-7917 ext. 164 so that they can help you start the process.
