Wake up at midnight to make the reservation. I can't remember how many days ahead of time, but the books opened at 12am est. They have significantly shrunk the number of tables for COVID restrictions, which is why it's hard. It's completely worth the effort to get a table! Good luck.
Just wait 2 months either by reserving online or by phone, which should be the same. No way around it. They only take a limited number of guests per night.
