Hojoko is a lovely bar and restaurant! The food is always very fun and the atmosphere is great! The servings are a little small for the price so you may have to order a few dishes, but it's totally worth it!

The most mediocre ramen I’ve ever had, instant ramen has more flavor. I got the spicy miso ramen and it had frozen corn in it and a boring soy egg, my partner got the funky chicken ramen and it tasted like hot water and was inedible. Drinks were alright, staff was friendly, but the food was just so bleh. We also got the fried chicken and it was just very okay.

Had come here once before and had drinks and ramen and loved the place so I was excited to return while we were staying at the Verb this week. Unfortunately, we were so disappointed. We walked in pretty early on a Monday and waited at the host station to be seated. Several minutes pass, bar/servers see us standing there with no greeting, finally we sit down at the bar. No big deal. It’s important to know I’m not high maintenance at all and certainly don’t expect my sever/bartender to go out of their way to be friendly but this was just..uncomfortable. The bartender didn’t even greet us, after several minutes of sitting there just finally walked over and looked at us. Everything from getting another drink, to ordering, to getting the check seemed like an inconvenience. I can’t imagine if we had questions. Sushi was okay. Flavor was there but it seemed rather warm for being so early in the night. Mai Tai was great. Confusing experience, I love the decor and atmosphere of this place so I hope they improve their service.

We were very excited to try Hojoko and we’re incredibly disappointed. It has a nightclub atmosphere if you are into that, it’s very loud and everything is squished in together. There were some nice things about inside but overall it was a little too fast food/ party for my taste. Then we go the food. It was incredibly disappointing and bland. I have had better sushi from make and take sushi places. It was tiny portions with zero flavor and the price made it one of the most expensive meals we had in Boston. When I spend that much I expect either flavor or quantity and got neither. It was the most disappointing meal I have had in ages and will never return
