Ive never even held a real gun before but if i want to give it a try do i need a licence and what if i go with someone who has a felony would we be able to just go to the range area? Just for fun.

A convicted felon cannot be in possession of firearms or ammunition. So no, he would not be able to accompany you to the range. I would recommend taking a class if you have never held a firearm before, the range might offer them. Otherwise, no license is required in Florida, but common sense if you don’t feel comfortable handling a firearm take a short safety training course

So, you don't need a licence. You choose the Type of gun - pistol, shotgun, riffle... its an amazing experience and trust me, they gonna teach you how to do it! Before you shot you sign a list that declares some things about you... mindcondition... trouble with the law... I dont know but i think the answer is no for your friend...

If you've never held a gun before the team there are very good about instructions, gun safety, and showing you everything you need to know before going into the range (there's a required safety training). As far as your friend goes I am not sure about that and I would suggest calling the shop and asking over the phone about that.
