Barnes and Noble does not buy books. They only sell them. Lol.
It depends on what kind of book. If you go to a Barnes & Noble University Bookstore, they will buy back used textbooks certain times of the year, usually at the end of a semester.
If you're asking if they buy books, no they don't. Across the street, in the summer usually 321Books has a trade in of 3 to 1. But again, that's in the summer geared towards keeping teens reading, but they will trade just about anybook.
Barnes and Noble isn't a used books store. So, no they do not "buy" books.
