It's $6 per day. The parking lots are all open-air surface lots that anyone can access. I've never had any problems parking my car there, but I wouldn't classify the lots as "protected"
Parking at Diridon Station prices vary depending where you park, $5.50-$6.00 and yes if safe. Can also obtain monthly passes there and surrounding lots.
