Dont go to opcc for services. St josephs in Venice. They work harder for thier clients. I not only got my own place but have spent 2500 when i moved in and just spent another 2500 a year in a half later.
Meredith are you asking about SanMoShel or the OPCC offices on Cloverfield? 5th and Olympic has more drop in services: Medical, mail, showers, food but I don't know about their bed stuff. I think you have to sign up and wait. SanMoShel is the worst of OPCC Shelters. I'd take the guys advice and go to St Joseph's. My original case manager and helluva caring guy became a Dr, left OPCC and works at St Joe's now. People at "The People's Concern" don't care, share knowledge or work together.
They're not a drop in shelter you have to go and sign up for services for women you get an emergency bed in 30 days or more downstairs is for the men and I'm not sure about their process but they are a day Center Monday through Friday you can go have breakfast lunch and dinner 9 a.m. 12 p.m. 5 p.m.
