Two major strikes with this office: 1. A few years ago I had a mole check and a few removed. I had to move for work, so I heard from them a few weeks later that they had sent me a bill and that it hadn't been paid. I paid immediately over the phone. I assumed that all was ok with the biopsies because it wasn't mentioned. Months go by and I decided that I should just double check. I call them and the nurse says, "hey, did you ever get that cancer taken care of?" WHAT?!? They tracked me down to pay them months before tracking me down to tell me that I needed a cancerous mole removed more completely. 2. I move back to LA and foolishly give them another chance. They had been nice whenever I saw somebody in the office, so I chalked it up to a clerical error. I had a few visits over the summer and all goes well. Well, now I have an infection on my hand and think it's important that I see someone pretty quickly. I called them and was told that no appointments are available until next week: "we're really busy right now with everyone wanting to get in for weddings and events. You have to call a few weeks in advance." SERIOUSLY? Their Beverly Hills office at least volunteered to call me with any cancelations, but the Santa Monica office made no such offer. It's very clear where their priorities are: money money money. You would think that for something more urgent they might squeeze someone in, or you know, take the time to find me about skin cancer. I wish I hadn't given them a second chance, shame on me.

First off the office is beautiful which makes it a great first impression. Customer service was excellent and very welcoming. This was my first time getting a facial at a dermatologist office and my experience was exceptional. My face felt amazing after my facial. Thank you Rita !!

I have only had great experiences at AVA MD. The staff is so welcoming, professional and intelligent. The facility is easy to find, the waiting room is gorgeous and they are doing a great job being compliant with CDC regulations to limit the spread of COVID. The appointment scheduling process was seamless, as well as the checking in and out process. I would always recommend this practice because they are truly so kind and keep me comfortable. I was very insecure about a specific service I needed to get but they made me feel so comfortable about it. I really cannot thank them enough.

Yes, please call us and we will escort you into our office building.
We have strict protocols currently in place that include cleaning, social distancing, limiting appointment numbers, mask wearing, regular hand washing and sanitizing as well as temperature checks. We also ask that all patients call us upon arrival to be greeted by our staff and escorted into our offices. Air purifiers that can filters the COVID-19 virus have also been installed in each room.
We currently don't offer wifi within our office.
We strive to keep patients on schedule, so that wait times can stay between 5 and 15 minutes. Wait times can vary depending on the provider, though.

Since we offer medical and cosmetic consultations and procedures, we require appointments and do not accept walk-ins.

If you have already filled out your patient paperwork, or if you're an established patient, you can arrive 10 minutes befor your appointment. For patients who have not completed their paperwork, we recommend arriving 20 minutes early.
For same day cancellations or no-shows, our policy is as follows: $100 no-show fee for medical appointments and a $250 or more no-show fee for cosmetic appointments. If you need to cancel or change your appointment, there is no fee if you call 24 hours or more in advance.
