That is the shipyard that the fat man and little boy left from in ww2 but i havent heard about a lawsuit for radiation. The place is mostly abandoned and off limits anyway

There is a mass action suit for contaminated water, soil, and air around the site... Random testing has shown high levels of toxicity among local residents, including radioactive isotopes.

I worked there in the early 80s, during Reagan's 600 ship navy buildup. I chatted with a WW II old time shipyard worker who remembered when the A bomb convoy arrived under heavy armed guard, and the cargo was quickly loaded onto the ill fated Indianapolis, which then sailed immediately through the Golden Gate and out to the Pacific. He said there weren't that many crates hoisted onboard from the army trucks, so the rumor was it was a shipment of gold to buy off the Emperor of Japan, in exchange for their surrender. It was only later he said that they figured out it was the bombs.
