The Group Campsites are along a boggy creek, Kelsey Slough. Pretty, but not the lake. Look at the campground map. You'll see sites 58-60 and 62-65 in the Kelsey Creek Campground, right on the water. 3 or 4 have their own beach access. Across the bridge at site#58 is a larger beach for everyone. But the swimming/picnic in day use area is the largest & best access for swimming, kayaking and innertubing.
The only ones that are close are the group camp areas. Most of the campsites are sitting elevated far above the lake
