Why arent there more than one person capable of checking drivers so when the one extra lazy 0erson goes on break drivers arent considered late for their delivery?

It's because they have low standards and they get away with it. Has nothing to do with unions.

Most places I've been to other than Walmarts typically only have one person to check ypu in. Try delivering at McLane's in Temple, TX if you want a worse place. I just spent 12 hours on a delivery there.
