When does oak creek gate open

Best to go in winter si you can find the elks feeding. Also best to go in January and February where the mountains are covered by snow and the elks can't find food so they come on down to the feeding area.

Oak Creek Willife Area is closed during the winter. You can observe Elk and mountain goats feeding from 11am-1pm. In May they open the green dot trails.
