If selling a handgun to a private party they cannot be under 21 years old. They also must be a Florida resident and show proof. Third they cannot be a prohibited person I E someone with a felony conviction or any kind of domestic violence whether it be a misdemeanor or felony. There's no way to check that other than to ask and if they say they not you've met all the requirements a federal law and stayed well.
Just like u would sell any other property. But to protect yourself get a bill of sale. You can not sell to anyone not legally able to own a firearm. Usually a copy of fl dl will cover that. Go to florida guntrader they have printable bos. To really cover yourself go to a dealer/pawnshop and pay for ffl transfer background check. Dont pay more than $30. What are you selling?
If it's a legally own firearm simply bring the firearm into any gun dealer and they will be able to run the serial number to make sure it's not stolen and offer you a price.
Go to a certified dealer. Choose what you want. Show alot of legal information, and do alot of paperwork.
Go to any gun dealer and they should have the paperwork....
