To be correct, dogs are not allowed on the beaches in S. Florida only, but in all of the rest of Florida, they are and in N. Florida, your allowed on the beach 24 hours, unlike here but the weather and warm water makes up for all the strict rules that regulate the S. FL area.
No, very few public beaches allow dogs. It's easy to find the ones that do with a Google search though.
