Ships do not dock in Monterey, they anchor in the bay so you need to add more time to the 15 minutes stated in Shokh's answer.

Yes there is a Macy's in the Del Monte shopping center and is located in Monterey near the distance of the docks.Its about a 8 to 15 min drive.
